In Mark Seliger's Words...

"I had just shot Tom Petty, and he said 'If you really want to get George's good side, have a couple of nice ukeleles there,' " Seliger says. "For the third set up, we photographed him with the ukelele. After the last shot, he started playing these Hawaiian ballads, song after song, for twenty minutes straight. The entire entourage just sat there - it was The Beatles voice on these quirky little Hawaiian songs! It was nothing you'd ever heard before, but strangely familiar - one of those rare, poignant times as a photographer when you meet greatness."
